Part of the charm of hikes such as the Tour du Mont Blanc lies in the surprise around every corner - it could be a breathtaking view or a sudden downpour. Fortunately, the Beta Pants are here to keep you dry when it matters. These pants are crafted from breathable and waterproof fabric. It lets the moisture from your body escape while keeping water out. Moreover, the ¾-length side zips offer extra ventilation and make it simple to layer up during an unexpected storm. What's new? They've been updated with a PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE laminate for a smaller environmental impact. There's a new simplified fly closure along with a full circumference belt system. A single thigh pocket has been added, and the ¾-length side zipper enhances comfort and freedom of movement. The updated lower-profile hem reinforcement boosts durability. This product has no intentionally added PFAS. The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner yet just as tough as the previous materials. You might notice the face fabric getting wet a bit faster, but don't worry. It doesn't affect the membrane's waterproofing. If you're not happy with the speed of wetting, just wash and dry the pants to remove oil and restore the DWR's full performance.

These pants are great for hiking. Put them on like you would any regular pants. The ¾-length side zips are handy for ventilation when it's hot, and you can open them to layer up quickly if it starts to rain. The single thigh pocket is a good place to keep small items like your phone or keys. As for maintenance, if you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you'd like, wash the pants with a gentle detergent and dry them. This will remove any oil contamination and bring the DWR (water - repellent coating) back to its full strength. Remember, the pants are free of intentionally added PFAS, so they're a more eco - friendly choice. Avoid using harsh chemicals on the pants as it could damage the waterproof membrane.
