Using your Osprey Hikelite 26 - liter daypack is easy. First, adjust the sternum strap and the removable webbing hipbelt to fit your body comfortably. This will help distribute the weight evenly and make your hike more comfortable. You can use the traditional panel loader design to access the main compartment quickly. Just unzip it and you're good to go.
The front fabric shove - it pocket is great for items you need to grab fast, like snacks or a map. Put your water bottle in the extra - tall stretch mesh side pockets to keep them secure. The external access zip pocket with the key clip is perfect for small essentials such as keys or a lip balm.
When using trekking poles, you can use the dual upper side compression straps to capture them and the dual trekking pole loops for extra support. If you're using a water reservoir, put it in the internal reservoir sleeve and use the hose port in the backpanel. Hang it with the Osprey Hydraclip.
As for the raincover, it's stored in a zippered pocket at the base of the pack. Take it out when it starts to rain. It's made with bluesign® approved fabrics and DWR treatments without PFAS, so it'll keep your stuff dry.
For maintenance, after each hike, check the pack for any signs of wear and tear. You can clean it with a mild detergent and water. Let it dry completely before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry place when not in use. This will help your daypack last a long time.
