Since 1890, Opinel knives have been a staple in pockets, backpacks, kitchen drawers, and on tables. They represent a nomadic lifestyle, a natural spirit, and wonderful moments of sharing. This Opinel No 6 trekking knife is crafted from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. The addition of chrome makes it highly anti - corrosive, and it doesn't need any special upkeep. With a carbon content of at least 0.40%, it offers an outstanding cutting edge. In 1955, Marcel Opinel invented the Virobloc safety ring, which is included on all folding knives starting from the N° 06. Made from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two parts: a fixed one and a sliding one. It not only locks the blade open for safe use but also locks it closed for safe transport. The N°06 is extremely versatile and is a must - have for both urban and rural tasks. Its colorful handle gives it a unique, personal feel and comes with a convenient lanyard. The blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel and is 7 cm long. You can also add our engraving service to your cart to have a message or name engraved on this great product.

Using your Opinel No 6 trekking knife is easy. Just slide the Virobloc safety ring to unlock the blade and use it for various tasks in urban or rural areas, like cutting ropes or opening packages. When you're done, slide the ring to lock the blade closed for safe transport. To keep it in good condition, clean the blade with a dry cloth after each use. Avoid using it on extremely hard materials as this can damage the blade. There's no need for special maintenance, but if it gets dirty, you can wash it with mild soap and water and dry it thoroughly. You can also take advantage of the engraving service to make it a unique gift or a personal keepsake.
